2c Rice
Planter Postal Card
17 May 1943 The vermilion chop is an imprint of an official seal of the Commandant of the Enemy Alien Internment Camp who held office in the University of Sto. Tomas. It is also struck on two other May 17, 1943 planting rice cards addressed to other foreigners of German extraction (Hansen and Reighter). |
As it has not been seen struck on Rizal or Japocc military cards on any date, could May 17, 1943 be a very auspicious date to merit philatelic concession or a special one-day privilege to selected philatelists from the C, EAIC? |
